Types of care offered
Residential & Overnight Support
The program provides continuous, around-the-clock awake supervision to ensure children are never left unattended.
Youth are housed in a secure, home-like setting designed for short-term stays, typically ranging from one to fourteen days, to support placement transitions or prevent foster home disruptions. The program also serves as an emergency placement option, offering stability for children in state custody who are between foster homes or transitioning from inpatient or residential treatment.
Target Population
The program serves minor children from infancy through age seventeen who are currently involved in the foster care or dependency system.
It also supports Extended Foster Care (EFC) youth between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one, or up to age twenty-two for individuals with documented disabilities, who voluntarily remain in state care to complete their education or develop employment skills.

Scope of Care
Staff are responsible for maintaining each child’s established daily routines, including meal schedules, personal hygiene, and the administration of prescribed medications.
During a child’s stay, staff ensure continued participation in educational programming by coordinating transportation, academic support, and tutoring services as needed to promote consistency and stability.
Trust and Safety Information
All staff members meet established qualification standards, which may include Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials and specialized training in pediatric care.
Comprehensive screening procedures are in place, including Level 2 background checks and reference verification. Staff are required to maintain current pediatric CPR and First Aid certifications, with at least one staff member trained in in-person CPR present on-site at all times.
Safety Protocols
The program adheres to strict safety protocols, including age-appropriate staff-to-child ratios to ensure adequate supervision.
Facilities maintain a written emergency preparedness plan addressing fire, evacuation, relocation, and lockdown procedures, with routine drills conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements. Transportation safety is ensured through the use of licensed and insured drivers and age- and weight-appropriate child restraint systems.
